WDCRA Striking Competition

The village of Alvechurch is right on the edge of Worcestershire and in the past the ringing team has had little to do with the county's ringing association. Campaigning to raise funds for the bells has brought better contacts with the association and we were encouraged to take part a Striking Competition organised by the Northern Branch of the WDCRA at Rowley Regis. The team thought that they were just going along to be sociable and to get some practice on the bells of another tower but we actually won the Call Changes section of the competition and brought the trophy home to St Laurence.
