Harry Kent

Harry Kent and his wife Hilda rang in St Laurence for many years and each has a plaque in the tower to mark their service. If you look through these photographs you will find that he appears in several of them from 1928 onwards.

This photograph shows Harry ringing the tenor bell. In the background you can see the casing for the clock and the small bell which is rung from the vestry before a wedding to warn us that the bride is about to enter the church.
