Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro
Greg & Sian Hunt from Barnt Green have just completed the six day ascent of Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is generally accepted as the highest walkable mountain in the world and stands nearly four miles above the surrounding plains in Tanzania, East Africa at 5,895m/19,344ft.
Having reached the dizzying heights and achieved a general sense of euphoria standing on the roof of Africa, they are delighted to have raised more than £1,100 in support of Cancer Research UK and the Alvechurch Bell Fund. Among others, generous sponsorship has been received from Jones Lang LaSalle (the property advisors) and Roberts Coaches (midlands based tour operators).
Cancer Research UK is one of the UK's leading cancer charities as more than 1 in 3 of us will develop a form of cancer in our lives. For more information visit the Cancer Research UK web site.
If you would like to make a donation to either of the charities in light of the successful Kilimanjaro expedition please make cheques payable to Alvechurch Bell Restoration Fund or Cancer Research UK and e-mail Sian and Greg for more details.
If you are a UK tax-payer and can make use of GiftAid then we have a GiftAid form on this site.
