Christmas Coffee Morning

In December 2008 we served coffee and home-made cakes in the Village Hall one Saturday before Christmas and raised £265 for the fund from shoppers who called in for refreshments.

The weather was particularly unpleasant and we didn't have as many visitors as we'd hoped. We had fewer shoppers passing our door because a lot of people were driving into the village, diving into a shop, and then dashing back home again into the warm. Not many were walking around the village centre in the cold drizzle of a December morning. Despite this, we were glad to see our regular supporters and a few new faces.
