Frank sings Elvis for the Bell Fund

[Elvis leaving teh building]

Frank is a popular local entertainer who has sold out several concerts in the village already this year. He performed for us in September as himself and later in the guise of Elvis. Tickets started selling before we'd got them printed and the evening was very popular.

Frank gave us three hours of entertainment. He warmed us up with a selection of songs from popular male singers such as Tom Jones and Neil Diamond and then left us with our drinks and supper whilst he went to find the King. Half an hour later, Elvis returned and spent the next session singing the best of his later songs and charming the ladies. Some were lucky enough to get a scarf, one had Elvis on his knees holding her hand, all enjoyed themselves immensely.

After an hour of this, Elvis had to leave but Frank came back and gave us some more songs for dancing. He was still singing at half past eleven and it's a shame we had to get the Ark cleared before midnight.

All in all, a great night's entertainment and there's an enthusiastic group of fans who want him back so that they can get their chance at a scarf and a serenade. Perhaps after Christmas.
